Think Big

Chapter 1

“Think Big” by Grace Lordan was published in 2021. It is a self-help book in which the author uses insights from behavioral science to help the reader achieve their goals, especially career-related ones. There is a focus on overcoming cognitive biases (mostly in ourselves but also in others) such as the sunk cost fallacy and the status quo bias. Prof. Lordan also advocates for medium-term goals (2~10 years), because too rapid changes can set us up for failure. Moreover, we tend to underestimate how much we can achieve in the next 5 years, whereas in reality small steps compound.
